The Generalitat de Catalunya has informed the Conselh Generau d’Aran about the actions it will undertake on the Aranese road network, responding to the request made on May 7, 2026.

The improvements include pothole repairs on the C-28 road during June and a planned intervention to improve the pavement of the C-142B between kilometer points 0 and 3+256 in the coming semester. Improvement works will also be carried out on the C-28, particularly in the municipality of Arties, along with various punctual repairs.
The Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition will conduct periodic cleaning of the slopes every two to three months to ensure optimal safety and traffic conditions. The first cleaning took place this week.
To enhance cyclist safety, at the proposal of the Govern d’Aran, vertical P-22 signs warning of cyclists' presence will be installed on the C-28 between Vielha and Baqueira. Concurrently, a feasibility study is underway to implement signage reminding drivers of the minimum 1.5-meter passing distance.
Regarding specific signage for cycle tourism on mountain passes, any intervention must comply with the technical conditions and criteria established for the road network of Catalunya. If this signage is deemed viable, the corresponding authorization request must be submitted to the Servei Territorial.
