The new collection points are located on Carrer de les Parres, at Carretera de Prats number 63, and on Carrer Hospital. This expansion primarily aims to facilitate the collection of these materials and promote their reuse and recycling.
Any type of textile waste can be deposited in the containers, including clothing, shoes, accessories, sheets, towels, and curtains. To ensure proper management, clothing should be placed in a well-sealed bag, and shoes should be deposited in pairs.
These containers are managed by Roba Amiga, a Catalan cooperative of non-profit entities collaborating with the Consorci del Bages. Roba Amiga's mission is to give a second life to used clothing, promote the circular economy, and facilitate the socio-labor integration of vulnerable individuals. Collected clothing is sorted and later sold in a shop in Manresa at affordable prices.
