Sustainable mobility improvement works in the industrial park of Artés.

The Artés City Council will begin sustainable mobility improvement works in the industrial park on October 13, 2026, a six-month project with a budget of €549,582.

The project's main objective is to guarantee accessibility, improve road safety, and promote walking and cycling mobility. The works include widening the southeast sidewalk on Manresa and Narcís Monturiol streets, creating a cycle path, and planting trees along the route.
Existing overhead services will be buried, tree pits will be created, trees will be planted, and an irrigation system will be installed. Parking will also be signaled parallel to the new sidewalk, and two raised crossings will be formed at the corners of Narcís Monturiol street with Sant Jordi and Anselm Clavé streets.
The project also includes new vertical and horizontal signage, and the creation of two rest areas with benches, bins, and trees at the intersections with Sant Jordi and Anselm Clavé streets. The aim is to create a circular route connected to the urban center and green areas, improving accessibility and increasing urban greenery.
During the works, vehicle circulation will be maintained, although temporary restrictions may occur, duly signposted. Parking on the side of the affected sidewalk will be temporarily prohibited during the work periods. Pedestrian circulation will be guaranteed at all times.
Access to industrial properties will be maintained, with possible temporary restrictions notified in advance. Temporary inconveniences due to noise, vibrations, and dust are expected.
