Bages Turisme and the Geoparc of Central Catalonia are organizing a new edition of the "Camí Oliba pel Bages-Geoparc" walk next Thursday, September 24th, a free activity inviting participants to discover the heritage and landscapes of Bages.

The departure is scheduled for 9 AM from the Casal de Viladordis. The route offers a circular itinerary of 8.7 kilometers with a 108-meter elevation gain. Participants will enjoy panoramic views of the Llobregat River from the cliffs of Serrat del Carnisser and Roca Tinyosa, spectacular rock formations overlooking a river meander.
The route will traverse forest and irrigated areas, following part of the Séquia canal in Viladordis. Before returning to the starting point, the walk includes a visit to the Santuari de la Salut de Viladordis, a site of significant heritage interest with Romanesque origins.
The walk is part of the Camí Oliba, a long-distance trail connecting Montserrat with Ripollès, tracing the path of Bishop and Abbot Oliba and linking key Catalan Romanesque monuments. This historical route also connects with the geological heritage of the Geoparc of Central Catalonia.
The event aims to highlight the relationship between cultural and natural heritage, where paths, monuments, and historical traces coexist with a landscape shaped over millions of years.

"With this walk, we want to continue bringing Bages' heritage closer to citizens and invite them to discover the territory on foot. The Camí Oliba allows us to explain history and culture, while the Geoparc helps us understand the landscape that hosts them. It's a combination that offers a very complete way to get to know the region."
