Sant Fruitós de Bages postpones Winter Festival due to official mourning

The City Council suspends the festive events scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, following the Adamuz rail accident.

The Sant Fruitós de Bages City Council has suspended the Winter Festival events scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, keeping only the mass, due to the official mourning period for the Adamuz accident.

The Sant Fruitós de Bages City Council announced the postponement of the Winter Festival events that were scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 21. The decision complies with the official mourning decree declared in Catalonia for the victims of the tragic rail accident that occurred in Adamuz.
The only activity that will proceed as originally planned is the mass, which will take place at 11 AM at the parish church. All other festive activities have been moved to the weekend, specifically Saturday, January 24.

The Sant Fruitós council has expressed its condolences and support to the families and all those affected by the accident.

The revised program will begin at 12 PM in the church square with a performance by the Geganters and Grallers de Sant Fruitós. Afterwards, at 12:30 PM, the Cobla Manresa will lead a sardana dance, concluding the events before a popular vermouth gathering.
