The Sant Fruitós de Bages City Council has allocated €744,155 to improve public lighting, thus achieving 100% LED technology in the municipality.

The total investment is divided into two main actions. A portion of €232,798 is allocated to the Pineda de Bages urbanization, where the sodium vapor lighting will be completely renewed with LED technology, except in the Quatre Finques sector which already has this technology. This renewal will allow for a reduction of over 50% in energy consumption in this area.
The remaining €511,356 will be used to address deficiencies detected in various parts of the municipality. The interventions will improve the uniformity and light intensity in sections of streets such as Girona Avenue, Vic Road, Joan XXIII Street, Eugeni d’Ors Street, Sallent Street, Rius i Taulet Street, Pompeu Fabra Street, Casajoana Street, Raval Street, Àngel Guimerà Street, Joan Maragall Street, Jacint Verdaguer Street, and Les Brucardes Road. Actions will also be carried out on Galileu and Lledoner Streets in La Rosaleda, on Collserola Street in the Sant Isidre industrial estate, under the Cobert de la Màquina de Batre, between the two sports pavilions, and on the ornamental lighting of the Sagrera church.
With this investment, the City Council completes the transformation of municipal public lighting. The installation of new light points will begin during this month of October. The works are financed with €681,000 from the Barcelona Provincial Council.
