The Local Police of Sant Fruitós de Bages will carry out a pedestrian protection campaign from October 19th to 25th, as part of an initiative coordinated by the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT).

The main objective of this campaign is to reinforce preventive surveillance and the protection of pedestrians to increase road safety, reduce the risk of accidents, and ensure safer mobility in the municipality.
During the checks, officers will pay special attention to detecting and correcting risky behaviors by drivers of all types of vehicles, including personal mobility vehicles (PMVs), which could endanger pedestrians or create unsafe situations.
Among the infractions to be controlled are not respecting pedestrian crossings, dangerous maneuvers, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as other behaviors related to circulation in pedestrian zones, coexistence zones, or areas where pedestrians have priority.
