The Sant Salvador de Guardiola City Council, in collaboration with the veterinary center Can Pelut, has launched a pet sterilization campaign to facilitate access to these procedures at reduced prices.

The initiative, taking place from October 26 to December 1, offers special rates for sterilizing cats and dogs and for microchip identification. The aim is to promote responsible pet ownership.
Prices for cat sterilization are 80 euros for males and 150 euros for females. For dogs, prices vary by sex and weight: male castration costs 110 euros (under 20 kg), 130 euros (between 20 and 40 kg), and 160 euros (over 40 kg). For females, rates are 170 euros (under 15 kg), 220 euros (between 15 and 30 kg), and 240 euros (over 30 kg).
The campaign also includes microchip identification and registration with the Pet Identification Archive (AIAC) for 60 euros. The initiative is for healthy animals up to six years old; if they don't have a microchip, it can be implanted during the procedure. Prices do not include protective collars or medication.
