The pipeline on the Santpedor road in Manresa suffered two new fractures during the night of Wednesday, January 8, causing water supply cuts to several residents.

These new failures follow the one that caused flooding and cracks in the asphalt on Tuesday night. The two latest leaks occurred in front of the Museu d'Aigua i Tèxtil and, subsequently, at 4 AM, in front of the Sant Pere Apòstol church.

In just under 24 hours, the capital of Bages has suffered a total of three leaks in the same pipeline on the Santpedor road.

The early morning leak caused a supply cut affecting residents of the Santpedor road (numbers 208 to 254) and adjacent streets such as Menorca, Font, Trueta, and Llibertat. Aigües de Manresa confirmed that workers are already repairing the damage, and service is expected to be restored by three in the afternoon.
Unlike the initial leak, those occurring tonight did not cause flooding, according to the Bombers (Firefighters). However, the incident has forced traffic modifications: the section of the Santpedor road between Doctor Trueta street and Menorca street will have a single direction of circulation towards Plaça de la Bonavista.
