The incident was reported at 11:08 a.m., prompting two ground units of the Firefighters to quickly deploy to the scene. The personnel secured the vehicle and assisted one of the three occupants in exiting the cabin.
Subsequently, emergency services used clamps to start the vehicle and allow it to be removed from the stream. Fortunately, none of the people involved were injured during the rescue operation in the l'Alforja stream.
This intervention is one of the 60 that the Firefighters have carried out in the Tarragona Emergency Region since the beginning of the rain episode until noon this Sunday.
Across Catalonia, the 112 emergency phone had already registered nearly 550 calls related to the rainfall. The regions with the most alerts up to 12 p.m. were Vallès Occidental (59), Tarragonès (36), and Noguera (31).
