A group of 17 residents from Cambrils, born in 1946, celebrated their 80th anniversary on October 10th in an institutional event held at the Plenary Hall of the Cambrils Town Hall.

The Councilor for Social Welfare, Mar España, presided over the reception, which began with an official group photograph in the Town Hall's entrance hall, in front of the local giants Pere and Camí. Afterwards, attendees entered the Plenary Hall, where songs from the era were played and both the councilor and a group representative addressed the attendees.
The celebration also included a journey back in time, reviewing key events of 1946, discovering historical figures born that year, and recalling when Cambrils was primarily an agricultural and fishing town.
As a gift, attendees received reproductions of a watercolor of the Cambrils fishing port, painted in 1945 by artist Josep Piqué Iserte and donated by the Josep Piqué Art Foundation. The event concluded with a birthday lunch at a local restaurant.
