This sporting event will bring together nearly 200 athletes and will serve to inaugurate the municipality's new facilities, located in the Dorado Playa area and funded by European Next Generation funds.
The Mayor of Cambrils, Oliver Klein; the Councilor for Sports, Gemma Balanyà, and the technical director of the Biketrial Costa Daurada club, Àngel Batlle, presented the cups. The mayor highlighted the municipal commitment to cycling sports and thanked Àngel Batlle for his work in making this facility a reality.
The Councilor for Sports emphasized that the new facilities are unique in the province and allow for the expansion of trial practice with other modalities such as cyclocross and BTT. She added that the Trial Cup boosts sports and family tourism.
Àngel Batlle confirmed that the Esquirols Sports Club is already training at the new BikePark and that the facilities have been very well received by fans.
The Spanish Cup will hold its final round on Saturday, September 26th, while Sunday the 27th will be for the Catalan Cup final. In the Catalan Cup, the standings are tight in the Elite men's and women's categories, with Martí Riera and Aina Gonzalo as provisional leaders.
The Spanish Cup will include all categories and the Elite finals, with Daniel Cegarra and Yun Vilajosana as absolute leaders in Elite men's and women's, respectively.
