This sporting event will bring together a total of 108 participants from 16 nationalities, hailing from 36 Brazilian jiu jitsu academies across Spain. The tournament is part of the Challenge Series Circuit.
The outdoor competition will kick off at 11 AM on the basketball courts of the beach at Passeig de les Palmeres. The Round Robin format will be used for all categories, levels, and ages, with participants ranging from 5 to 50 years old. This system will allow athletes to compete as many times as possible within their category, unlike traditional elimination rounds.
The tournament aims to provide an experience for all audiences and promote Brazilian jiu jitsu. The event will be complemented by food trucks, music, and a beach setting to create a unique spectacle by the Mediterranean Sea.
Cambrils has held the Certificate in Sports Tourism Destination since 2013 and continues to work on promoting sporting events that foster the synergy between sport and tourism. For 2026, over 70 sporting events are planned, expecting more than 40,000 participants, with the Cambrils Beach Challenge being one of the new additions to the calendar.
