Edu Albácar will be the new coach of Reus next season, having reached an agreement with the club to replace Marc Carrasco. The coach from the Ebre region arrives with his collaborator Nacho Crespo.

The red-and-black club has reached a preliminary agreement with Edu Albácar (Sant Jaume d'Enveja, 1979) to become the team's new manager. Albácar, a historic former player for Elche, takes on the challenge of leading Reus's sporting project following the official departure of Marc Carrasco, announced this past weekend.
Although Albácar will be accompanied by his trusted collaborator, Nacho Crespo, Reus's sporting management, represented by Albert Viñas and Ferran Asensio, intends to keep part of Marc Carrasco's technical staff, including Javi Robles as assistant coach. These moves have not yet been finalized.
The deal was closed on Friday, one day after the club learned of Carrasco's departure, who according to reports may be joining Real Madrid C. Albácar, who previously served as an assistant at Valencia, faces the difficult task of maintaining the high standards of a team that has just competed in the promotion play-offs to Primera RFEF.
