Reus Deportiu has achieved an overwhelming victory against Calafell (1-8) in the first match of the OK League play-off quarter-finals, held at the Joan Ortoll.

The red-and-black team dominated the derby from start to finish, leaving the tie heavily in their favor before the second game, which will be played next Saturday in Reus. The first half was particularly devastating for the visitors.
Joan Salvat opened the scoring in the 6th minute, followed by another goal from Diego Rojas two minutes later. Martí Casas extended the lead in the 16th, and Salvat scored again just before halftime, establishing a commanding 0-4.
After the break, Reus maintained their intensity. Guillem Jansà scored the fifth goal, and Martí Casas made it six against a completely overwhelmed Calafell. Although Marimon reduced the deficit for the home team, the red-and-black festival continued with another goal from Casas and Salvat's third, sealing a historic rout.
This victory allows Reus to break the home-court advantage and leaves Calafell on the ropes, forced to react if they want to stay alive. The red-and-blacks will have the opportunity to secure their place in the semi-finals in front of their fans at the Palau d’Esports.
