The 13th Vandekames race will be held on November 15th in Vandellòs, reintroducing the demanding 30km 'cursa negra' with 1,500m of positive elevation gain.

The mountain race, organized by the Centre Cultural, Esportiu i Recreatiu de Vandellòs (CCERV) and the Centre Excursionista Serres del Mestral, with collaboration from the Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant Town Council and support from the Catalan Government's Sports Department, solidifies its place in the municipality's sporting calendar.
The 'cursa negra' (black race), not held since before the COVID-19 pandemic, will be open to participants aged 18 and over. This revival expands options for more experienced runners. The event also features the 'cursa vermella' (red race) (18 km, 1,000m positive elevation gain) for those 14 and older, the 'cursa i caminada blava' (blue race and walk) (12.2 km, 740m positive elevation gain), and the 'caminada groga' (yellow walk) (7.1 km, 253m positive elevation gain) for enjoying the natural surroundings.
As a new feature, the Vandekids, children's races for ages 4 to 12, will allow families to purchase lunch tickets and commemorative t-shirts during the free registration.
The start for all events will be at Plaça Drs. Gil Vernet from 8 AM, with the finish line located at the sports pavilion and football field area of Vandellòs. Following the race, a traditional popular 'fideuà' will be served, with a gluten-free option available. Participants will also receive a gift bag and a commemorative t-shirt.
Registration is now open via the website www.vandekames.cat until bibs are sold out.
