The city of Reus is preparing to host the 27th edition of the Barraques festival, scheduled for June 19, 20, and 23 at the Parc de la Festa. This year's lineup is characterized by its musical diversity, featuring rock, ska, and festive Catalan pop performances. Day tickets and passes for all three days are now available for purchase on the festival's official website.
The first day, Friday, June 19, will kick off with performances by groups emerging from the Espai Bucs d'Assaig de Joventut Reus (Reus Youth Rehearsal Space). Following this, local singer Gigi Ros will take the stage to present her urban pop sound. The evening will also feature the Valencian group Auxili, a prominent name in Catalan reggae and mixed-genre music, and the Tarragona-based band Crim, known for their punk-rock energy.
Saturday, June 20, will showcase Greta, an emerging artist on the Catalan pop scene, and Dan Peralbo i El Comboi, who will deliver a relaxed style with rock and indie influences. The night will continue with Els Catarres, one of the most popular bands in the Catalan festive music scene, and Partiperes, recognized for their live shows filled with humor and celebration.
The festival will conclude on Monday, June 23, coinciding with the Sant Joan eve celebration. The final day will include another performance by groups from the Bucs d'Assaig de Reus, as well as concerts by Doctor Prats, known for their fusion of pop, electronic, and festive rhythms, and Juantxo Skalari, a veteran artist from the Spanish ska and reggae scene.
