The Department of Culture of the Mont-roig del Camp City Council has highly praised the conclusion of the Sons de Nit cultural cycle. This edition has confirmed the cycle's establishment as one of the municipality's most significant summer cultural offerings, noted for its varied and high-quality program distributed across different venues in Mont-roig del Camp and Miami Platja.
One of the standout moments was the concert by Manu Guix, which filled the Mossèn Gaietà Ivern Square with approximately 500 attendees. The acoustic performance received an excellent reception, reinforcing the cycle's strategy of featuring well-known artists.
Audience response was also strong for other performances. The concert by the Gospel Gloria Choir at the Cristall Beach Pergola was well-received, as was the flamenco and jazz offering by Contra Viento y Madera in Miami Platja, which blended music, improvisation, and dance.
The Music Band of the Unió Filharmònica d’Amposta delivered a memorable performance in the old town of Mont-roig del Camp. The parade and subsequent concert of film scores presented a large-scale musical experience in an emblematic setting.
The Divendres DiVins evening at the Hermitage of Mare de Déu de la Roca also proved popular. This event combined heritage, with a guided tour by Eduard Boada, wine tasting from the DO Catalunya, and a magic show by Vicenç Gómez, creating a special atmosphere in a unique location.
The decentralization strategy, initiated last year, continued with four main venues: the Hermitage of Mare de Déu de la Roca, Mas Miró, the Cristall Beach Pergola, and Mossèn Gaietà Ivern Square. This approach successfully merged heritage, landscape, and culture, bringing activities closer to various areas of the municipality.
The Department of Culture expressed high satisfaction, emphasizing that Sons de Nit is a well-established cycle with a successful formula. The City Council plans to continue with the same model next year, maintaining decentralization and aiming to include artists and proposals with greater renown and reach.
