For four days, the town's streets, squares, and facilities will host a variety of events organized by the Vandellòs Cultural, Sports, and Recreational Center (CCERV). These activities are supported by about fifteen local entities and sponsored by the Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant Town Council.
The celebration will feature traditional events such as the XXIX Clotxada Popular, the XXXVII Gran Correfoc (fire run), the popular procession, the Homage to Old Peasantry, and the traditional 'ball de ram i fanalet' (dance of the branch and lantern). Proceeds from the latter will go to the League Against Cancer of the Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre Regions.
Among this year's new additions is the show «Locus operandi» by Toni Albà, scheduled for Thursday, September 24th, at the sports pavilion. Music will also be a highlight with a concert by Hotel Cochambre on Saturday night, and performances by the Welcome Band orchestra.
Sunday's program includes the show «CBH Show, Teaser - Tribut a la Trinca». Additionally, an event titled «De Castelló a Vandellòs» invites participants to explore the town's medieval origins, and there will be an open day with table tennis exhibition by CTT Vall de Llors.
The festival will also offer children's shows, sports activities, musical aperitifs, and youth-oriented events, encouraging citizen participation. The celebration will conclude on Sunday evening with a fireworks display at the football field.
The official opening will take place on Thursday, September 24th, with the opening speech by Montserrat Gavaldà Cabrejas, a figure deeply connected to Vandellòs, who opened the town's first pharmacy in 1986 and practiced for 33 years. Gavaldà has also been a delegate for the League Against Cancer for 31 years.
Mayor Assumpció Castellví highlighted Gavaldà's strong ties to the municipality and her professional career, expressing satisfaction with her role as the festival's opening speaker. The event, at 7 PM in the Sports Pavilion, will be accompanied by the Municipal Music Band Clau de Vent and will precede the presentation of the 'pubilla' (honorary maiden), Iris Callau Nomen, and the maids of honor, Anastàsia Saladié Rachok and Abril Escoda Alcarraz.
