The Centre Cultural del Delta in Deltebre hosts from this Thursday Drap-Art Delta 2026, an exhibition that combines contemporary art, recycling, and environmental awareness on the challenges facing the Ebro Delta.

The exhibition, open until November 30th, features two artistic proposals and various activities to reflect on sustainability and environmental preservation. The mayor of Deltebre, Lluís Soler, highlighted the aim to connect art with crucial environmental issues for a vulnerable territory like the Delta.
The exhibition is divided into two parts: In Memoriam Daniel Argimon, a retrospective of works from the seventies, eighties, and nineties by the artist linked to Catalan informalism and committed to social issues, who experimented with recovered materials. The second is the Colectiva Drap-Art, on the ground floor, featuring sixteen artists from the international network who transform recycled materials into artistic proposals on consumption and the environment.
The Councilor for Cultural Development, Eva Marin, emphasized that this initiative expands the City Council's cultural offerings and brings various artistic disciplines closer to the public.
Drap-Art Delta 2026 also includes participatory activities such as the Taller Jove Drap-Art Delta at the Institut de Deltebre, where students will create sculptures from recycled materials to be exhibited from November 20th to 28th. Councilor Lola Casanova stressed the importance of fostering a culture of recycling from an early age.
Furthermore, on November 10th, at 8 PM, there will be a meeting of cultural agents from the Ebro Delta at the Centre Cultural del Delta to share experiences and plan future editions. The initiative originates from the Drap-Art association, a pioneer in sustainable art since 1995, with the support of the Deltebre City Council, and aims to become an annual event.
The mayor concluded that the goal is to consolidate Deltebre as a culturally active municipality, supporting creators and generating meeting spaces between art, citizens, and the territory.
