The activity, part of the FER.Cat cooperation project, brought together young students to showcase their business ideas. This fair is one of four planned across Catalonia, aiming to highlight children's creativity and their involvement in finding solutions to local challenges.
Students from the Sant Miquel de Deltebre School and the Marjal School of Les Cases d’Alcanar attended the event, presenting a total of 10 projects. The proposals focused on themes such as recycling, nature, and material reuse, addressing real concerns of the children. A jury evaluated the works and awarded special mentions.
“"The work that the students develop throughout the course culminates in this fair. It is very enriching to see the creativity shown by the children, the rigor of the proposals, the teamwork… they work on positive values at a very suitable age to acquire them."
The president of the Consell Comarcal del Baix Ebre, Antoni Gilabert, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in inspiring young people to become entrepreneurs in the region. "It is very important that they know that one can start a business from the territory and for the territory," he stated.
The FER project aims to awaken entrepreneurial talent, creativity, and curiosity about the opportunities in rural areas among primary school students. The initiative, coordinated by the Noguera-Segrià Nord Local Action Group Consortium, is funded by the Department of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
