Junts per Tortosa today requested clarification on the employment relationship of a former Festival Director with the city council, following his involvement in the organization of the Renaissance Festival.

The municipal group Junts per Tortosa has expressed concern over the continued involvement of a former Festival Director in coordinating this year's edition of the Renaissance Festival. According to the opposition councilor, various entities and associations have reported that this individual maintains contacts and meetings to finalize participation and contracts.

"This is a new attempt to obstruct and make it seem that this government is not performing its duties as it should. What they want is to confuse the public and manipulate. Which is what, ultimately, they have been doing since the beginning of the mandate."

In response, the mayor of Tortosa has deplored what she considers a new episode of malicious insinuations by the main opposition party. She assured that the former director signed a minor contract on April 20 with the city council, for a value of 9,815.47 euros, for the provision of services for the direction and scriptwriting of the Renaissance Festival events.
