The Verge de la Cinta University Hospital of Tortosa (HUTVC) has celebrated its 50th anniversary with a solidarity run and walk that brought together nearly 500 people, combining sports, health, and family activities.

The initiative, organized in conjunction with Atletisme Terres de l’Ebre and the Dr. Ferran Foundation, is part of the celebration of World Cardiovascular Health Day. The five-kilometer race started and ended at the Verge de la Cinta Hospital, with a refreshment point in the stadium area.
Before the race, participants collected bibs and commemorative t-shirts. The event's solidarity aspect was reflected in the destination of the proceeds from citizen registrations, which will be allocated to projects aimed at improving the well-being of patients and their families.
Upon arrival, participants enjoyed a breakfast of sandwiches, fruit, and cake, with a gluten-free option available. The day also included family activities for children, organized by the Mil Somriures association, and a gift from the Barça Foundation for the kids.

"The celebration concluded with the awards ceremony for the winners in various categories, featuring significant prizes such as meals at local restaurants and product hampers."
