Beneficiary businesses can receive up to 300,000 euros to partially compensate for turnover losses and promote the continuity of their activity. This aid also supports businesses affected by persistent drought and high temperatures that have harmed pear cultivation.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, Òscar Ordeig, visited the Terres de l’Ebre to witness firsthand the impact of the floods. Ordeig highlighted that the aid is now available to begin recovering activity and announced that work is underway for a new call in 2027.
The call, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC), targets cooperatives, agricultural transformation societies (SAT), and other agro-food businesses that have registered a minimum 30% decrease in the marketing value of affected productions. In addition to the DANA, it includes the impact of high temperatures on pear cultivation in the Lleida region and the hazelnut sector in Camp de Tarragona.
Concurrently, Forestal Catalana has carried out emergency work in Montsià and Baix Ebre to repair access roads to livestock farms and inhabited areas, clean streets and municipal spaces affected by mud and vegetation debris, and pump water from flooded areas in municipalities such as Masdenverge, la Galera, Ulldecona, Santa Bàrbara, Tortosa, Vinallop, Aldover, Xerta, and Roquetes.
