The L'Aldea City Council has imposed 30 fines for uncivilized waste dumping outside of designated bins and is maintaining video surveillance in various parts of the municipality to combat these behaviors.
The L'Aldea City Council is calling for civic and citizen responsibility, warning that it will continue to fine behaviors that litter the town. To date, 30 fines have been issued for abandoning waste in unauthorized areas, a figure that highlights the need for firm action.
It is reminded that leaving trash bags, furniture, or any other type of waste outside designated areas constitutes uncivilized conduct, prohibited and punishable under the Civic and Citizen Coexistence Ordinance, specifically article 46. These practices harm citizens, generate additional cleaning costs, and project a negative image of the municipality.
To prevent these situations and facilitate the identification of offenders, some bin islands in the municipality are now equipped with video surveillance systems. These systems, installed in accordance with current regulations, are exclusively focused on the bin islands to detect and prevent uncivilized dumping, without general surveillance of public roads.

"L'Aldea is our home, it's the town where we live and share. We cannot allow the lack of civility from a few to harm coexistence, dirty our streets, and damage the municipality's image. Having a clean and tidy town is not just the City Council's responsibility, it's a shared responsibility of the entire community."
The Councillor for Citizenship, Irene Negre, has called for collective responsibility and emphasized the commitment to continue acting firmly. She noted that human and financial resources are being allocated to maintain public spaces and that it is unfair for this effort to be undermined by irresponsible behavior. 30 fines have been issued, and more will be imposed if necessary, aiming for greater civility but not hesitating to act against those who disrespect the rules.
The involvement of residents in detecting and preventing these behaviors is considered essential. Citizens are urged to report any irregular dumping to the Municipal Guard, providing information to identify those responsible. Communications will be treated with utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Citizen collaboration is fundamental to ending these practices. The L'Aldea City Council will continue working to maintain a clean, well-kept, and environmentally respectful town, combining awareness campaigns, surveillance, and sanctions, with the goal of ensuring compliance with regulations and respect for shared spaces.

"The good image of L'Aldea is built every day by all of us. Caring for our town is a sign of respect for our neighbors, for visitors, and for ourselves. Civility is not an option, it is an obligation of coexistence."
