The Civil Guard arrested a driver at the AP-7 service area in L'Ametlla de Mar last Sunday, after confirming he was violating a gender violence restraining order with the victim present in the vehicle.

Officers from the Civil Guard carried out the arrest during a routine vehicle check at the service area of the AP-7 motorway, located within the municipality of L'Ametlla de Mar, last Sunday.
While identifying the driver, the officers verified that the man had an active judicial restraining order related to a previous gender violence offense. The violation was confirmed upon realizing that the person protected by the order was traveling as a passenger inside the same vehicle.
Given the blatant violation of the precautionary measure, the officers immediately proceeded to arrest the driver as the alleged perpetrator of a judicial order breach offense.
After processing the corresponding police reports, the detainee was handed over to the Mossos d’Esquadra to continue with the relevant legal and judicial procedures.
