Although the storm did not bring large amounts of rain to the Terres de l’Ebre, concern focuses on the coast, where every intense sea storm accelerates the natural space's regression. The weakest areas have once again suffered sea ingress due to significant wave action.

The most affected spots include the Arenal promenade in l’Ampolla, located in Baix Ebre, as well as Migjorn beach in Sant Jaume d’Enveja and the Illa de Buda, the latter situated in Montsià. The flooding of the Trabucador bar is among the most visible damages.

Due to the flooding of the Trabucador, the company operating the Salines de la Trinitat had to suspend the night shift activity on Monday and kept the plant shut down throughout Tuesday. It will now be necessary to assess whether the isthmus has suffered a new breach once the storm subsides.
