The Municipality of Calonge i Sant Antoni has unveiled its roadmap for 2025, aiming to overhaul waste management, promote affordable housing, and strengthen the Book Town initiative.

The year 2025 is set as a period of transformation for Calonge i Sant Antoni. The highest priority will be adapting to new sustainability regulations, which involve a complete review of the waste collection system to improve separation and recycling rates.
Regarding housing, the council seeks to address the residential emergency. Plans include increasing the social housing stock and facilitating licenses for the construction of protected housing units, especially in the Sant Antoni area, to ensure housing access for permanent residents.

"This plan not only addresses environmental sustainability but also lays the foundation for fair and balanced social growth, ensuring that culture remains a key driver for our municipality."

Miquel Bosch · Councillor for Urban Planning
Finally, the consolidation of Calonge as a Book Town, celebrating its fourth anniversary, will receive a significant boost. More literary activities will be scheduled, and collaboration with other municipalities on the Costa Brava will be sought to create cultural and thematic routes.
