On November 2nd and 3rd, educational centers in Calonge i Sant Antoni hosted 10 school Scrabble workshops, an initiative to bring the Catalan language closer to young people in a fun and engaging way.

The initiative, promoted by the Educational Environment Plan of Calonge i Sant Antoni in collaboration with the municipality's Catalan Office, brought together students from 5th and 6th grade of primary school and 1st and 2nd year of secondary school. Through word games, participants worked on vocabulary, spelling, and written expression, while also developing skills such as strategy, logical thinking, and decision-making.
The activity, led by the International Federation of Scrabble in Catalan, is part of an educational project aimed at introducing the Catalan language to young people in a participatory and exciting manner, fostering learning through play and promoting interaction among students from different educational centers in the municipality.
The workshops also serve as preparation for the inter-school Scrabble final, scheduled for April 2027, where qualified students from the participating centers will compete.
Through this initiative, the Educational Environment Plan, the Catalan Office, and the educational centers of Calonge i Sant Antoni reinforce their commitment to promoting the Catalan language and developing innovative educational proposals that connect learning, participation, and social cohesion.
