Firefighters have withdrawn from the search for the young person who went missing on Wednesday while riding a jet ski with others in the Bay of Roses. After searching the area near Begur for over an hour this midday, the emergency services have concluded their operation. The main hypothesis is that the boy lost his life jacket and fell into the sea.
Currently, the Mossos d'Esquadra maintain a maritime unit in the area, working in coordination with Maritime Rescue and the Civil Guard to try and locate the young person, who has been missing for three days. The Civil Guard, meanwhile, continues its investigation into the events, taking statements from witnesses and individuals connected to the company that owns the jet skis, which were impounded on Friday.
This impoundment measure was taken after it was confirmed that the jet ski carrying the young person reached Pals Beach, several kilometers south of the point where the 16-year-old allegedly fell.
