The Espai Arteca at the Palafrugell Library premieres this Friday the exhibition titled In Bloom, a proposal by artist Carla Iglesias. The opening event will take place at seven in the evening, and admission will be free. The exhibition will remain open to the public until July 24th.
The exhibition's title, meaning 'blooming', captures the artistic evolution of Carla Iglesias. The artist presents a selection of works created using various pictorial techniques, highlighting the changes experienced in her creative process.
Nature is a central element in the displayed creations. Carla Iglesias finds her inspiration in the sea, fauna, and flora, elements that connect the exhibition with its immediate surroundings and also influence the colors and forms of the pieces.
For the creation of the works, the artist combines materials such as plaster, natural pigments, acrylic paint, and beeswax. This combination allows for the creation of textures, reliefs, and depths, forming surfaces rich in nuances where colors and patinas blend.
In Bloom marks a new phase in Carla Iglesias's career, focusing on discovery and experimentation. The artist explores the possibilities of each material and reinforces the link between artistic creation and the natural world.
The exhibition, which can be visited at the Espai Arteca until July 24th, represents a new cultural offering from the Palafrugell Library, open to all citizens.
