The project, which will be tendered during the second half of this year, aims to widen the road from the current six meters to nine meters. It covers a 1.2-kilometer section of the GI-633 and nearly six kilometers of the GI-634, including the creation of a new pedestrian path between Jafre and Verges.
In addition to the expansion, the plan includes the construction of new roundabouts at the intersections located at the beginning and end of the Colomers and Jafre crossings. The proposal is currently undergoing an analysis of the submissions received during the public hearing process before final approval.
At the same time, the Government is carrying out other improvements in the Baix Ter region. Traffic calming works on the C-31 in Ullà, with a budget of 1.7 million euros, will be completed in the autumn, while road surface improvements on the GI-631 between Colomers and Sant Mori, costing 1.9 million euros, will conclude this June.
