The Es Pla neighborhood in Palamós is holding a popular festival tomorrow, Saturday, August 29th, in Vila-romà square, stemming from community work dynamics promoted by the City Council.

The festival will begin at 6 PM with children's activities such as a face-painting workshop and water games. From 8 PM, there will be a popular barbecue for 5 euros, including a sandwich and drink. The celebration will conclude at 9 PM with a dance accompanied by the group La TrupDuet.
The event's organization arises from citizen participation meetings held with the neighborhood, which have allowed for defining actions to improve the area in aspects like public space maintenance, coexistence, and mobility.
As a result of these meetings, a campaign has been launched to regulate mobility, including closing a street between Vila-romà square and the pavilion to traffic, reclaiming pedestrian space. Road safety and signage have also been improved with speed bumps and new vertical and horizontal signs.
These actions are part of the Palamós City Council's work model, which emphasizes direct neighborhood involvement in improving areas and defining public policies to enhance quality of life.
