The town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols hosted the MARNATON eDreams Sant Feliu de Guíxols by Zoggs, a prominent open water swimming event that is part of the MARNATON circuit in the Mediterranean. The competition saw over 700 swimmers participate.
The main race, covering 10.5 kilometers starting from Camping Cala Pola, was won by Rafa Cabanillas in 2:30:02 and Ona de Miguel, who finished in 2:40:37. In this event, Javier Navarro and Sylvain Gleizes secured the men's podium spots, while Mireia Gómez and Carmen Crespo completed the women's podium.
The event also featured other distances, including 6 km, 3.5 km, and 1.5 km. The 6 km race, which counted towards the Catalan Swimming Federation's open water circuit and began at Cala Canyet, was won by Nil Ibáñez (1:13:11) and Alba Maestro (1:20:52). The 3.5 km course, starting from Canyer d'en Mieres, saw victories from Daniel Huguet (0:44:57) and Natasha Bowyer (0:49:14). Lastly, in the shortest 1.5 km distance, the winners were Dani Ortinz (0:24:04) and Martina Salvador (0:26:46).
Additionally, races for young swimmers aged 5 to 13 were held with distances of 50, 100, 200, and 400 meters. The MARNATON circuit will continue on September 19th with the emblematic crossing in Cadaqués and will conclude on October 10th with the MARNATON eDreams Eivissa.
