The Government has initiated the public consultation process to improve the GI-643 road between Parlavà and Serra de Daró, with works scheduled for next summer.

The Department of Territory, Housing, and Public Transition has opened the public hearing period for the project to condition, widen, and improve the GI-643 road, connecting Parlavà and Serra de Daró. According to a statement, the works, with an estimated investment of 7 million euros, aim to enhance road safety and comfort.
The Department's timeline suggests that the work could begin in the summer of 2027. This project is part of a broader plan for road actions in the Baix Ter region, allocated 50 million euros, responding to local council requests following issues with accidents and flooding on the roads.
The minister highlighted that the intervention will also improve accessibility and boost communications in the area. The general plan for improving the road network in Baix Ter includes actions on several roads such as the GI-631, GI-633, GI-634, C-31, GI-641, GI-642, GI-643, and C-252.
The specific action on the GI-643 covers a 3.3-kilometer stretch. The road is planned to be widened to 10 meters, featuring two 3.5-meter traffic lanes and 1.5-meter shoulders. Two new roundabouts will also be constructed at the accesses to Sant Iscle and Fonolleres, along with the adaptation of new bus stops.
The Department intends to tender the works this autumn. This improvement plan, presented to local councils last January after the impact of the 'llevantada' storm, includes other projects such as the conditioning of the road between Colomers and Verges (14.1 million euros) and the widening of the C-31 between Verges and Ullà (10 million euros).
The total investment exceeds 50 million euros, reflecting the Government's commitment to improving mobility, road safety, and the quality of life for its citizens.
