Montse Homs i Mir has become the new Municipal Public Advocate for Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The extraordinary plenary session of the City Council ratified her appointment with the backing of all municipal political forces.
This appointment marks a historic milestone, as Homs is the first woman to assume this responsibility since the institution's creation over twenty years ago. Furthermore, she is the third individual with a prior background in teaching to hold this position in the municipality.
The new Advocate boasts an extensive career in the associative, cultural, social, and educational spheres of the town. During the appointment session, she expressed her enthusiasm for this new chapter, emphasizing her independence of judgment and commitment to public service.
Homs highlighted her readiness to serve the citizens from day one. She also extended her gratitude for the support received from the municipal groups, City Council staff, local residents, as well as her friends and family.
