The local council has expressed the need to reconcile the increase in clean energy production with the preservation of the municipality's natural and landscape heritage. In this sense, the municipal proposal urges the exclusion or reduction of infrastructure in areas of high agricultural and environmental value, such as Llofriu, Plana de l'Aubi, the Tamariu road, Coll de Morena, Bonida, and Con de l'Aigua.
Palafrugell's position focuses on concentrating installations on land that has already been transformed or is located near existing infrastructure. Furthermore, the approved document suggests placing storage systems near the electrical substation to minimize visual impact and the need to build new evacuation lines.
The allegations also emphasize legal and environmental security, requesting stricter regulation for storage systems and the obligation to restore the land once the installations reach the end of their useful life. This agreement aligns with the demands of the Consell d'Alcaldies of the Baix Empordà County Council and will be submitted to the Institut Català d'Energia.
