Serveis de Salut Integrats Baix Empordà (SSIBE), along with the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) Girona and various museums in the region, have introduced six sensory audio guides. These new tools aim to transform visits to cultural institutions into an experience focused on users' emotional well-being. The project has benefited from the collaboration of the Consorci de Salut i Social de Catalunya (CSC).
The audio guides were developed considering the emotional well-being benchmarks from the Basic Health Areas of Baix Empordà and the specific characteristics of each museum. The intention is for each venue to offer a unique experience, promoting introspection and sensory stimulation during the visit.
The CSC has provided support to SSIBE's innovation teams for the development of this project, also facilitating the acquisition of funding from the Ministry of Health, through the Department of Health.
The Consorci offers support to its associated entities in managing Primary and Community Care projects. This includes assistance in seeking funding opportunities, proposal submission, project coordination and monitoring, as well as articulating multi-center initiatives and handling technical and economic justification.
This collaborative model allows each entity to maintain autonomy in executing its projects while fostering the exchange of experiences and shared learning. The ultimate goal is for the developed experiences to generate useful knowledge and identify projects with potential for consolidation, scalability, or transfer to other centers.
