The new edition of the [L’A X L] cycle (L’Artesà for La Capsa and La Capsa for L’Artesà) aims to blur the lines between venues and artistic languages, offering a special program that invites the public to explore live arts and music.
The first day, Thursday, November 12, will kick off at L’Artesà with the Compagnia Dromosofista and their visual theater, puppets, and shadows [Antipodi], designed for a small audience inside a transformed truck. Subsequently, the company ATRESBANDES will present [e (Leshi)] at Sala Josep Costa, a humorous exploration of a Chekhov play combining object theater and lecture.
On Friday, November 13, also at L’Artesà, performances of [Antipodi] will continue, and contemporary dance will arrive with [Danses romàntiques] by MONTDEDUTOR, an immersive and sensitive solo. The night will conclude with a party in the lobby featuring music by DJ Pan de Leche.
On Saturday, November 14, the activity will move to La Capsa for an electronic night. The evening will begin with [Gregotechno], a ritual fusing Gregorian chant with electronic music and video art. Following this, the party [HALAL “Queer 3Arab Fiesta] will be held, an Arab and queer event that is a reference in Barcelona.
The cycle will close on Sunday, November 15, at La Capsa. At midday, Maria Camila Sanjinés will present [Mapa Caníbal], a participatory installation resulting from a community creation process. The day will end with a concert and vermouth by the Barcelona-based band [Marina y su Melao], which fuses Puerto Rican bomba with Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
The full cycle pass costs €10 and includes access to all paid and free events. Individual tickets are priced at €5 and will go on sale on Tuesday, October 6, at 5 PM. All information can be found on the websites of Teatre L’Artesà and La Capsa.
