During the works, the children's play area and other facilities in the square will be inaccessible. The section of the street from the bins to the forest access will be narrowed, allowing only pedestrian passage. There will also be partial parking restrictions on the upper platform of C. Manel Fernández from the morning of October 13th for the delivery and storage of construction materials.
The company Excavacions Anoia SA has been awarded the contract for the comprehensive renovation works, with a budget of nearly 215,900 euros, including VAT. The project covers an area of approximately 1,100 square meters.
The renovation includes upgrades to children's and sports play equipment, urban furniture such as benches, tables, and bins, and landscaping. The square's layout will be redesigned with circular forms. Initial tasks will focus on demolishing existing elements, leveling the ground, and removing architectural barriers.
Part of the funding comes from the General Investment Program of the Diputació de Barcelona.
