The meeting will bring together municipal representatives, technical staff, social organizations, producers, and specialists to share experiences and advance in the development of food policies at the local level. The event will include a press briefing with the mayoress Alba Bou, Enrique Pueyo, president of the Network of Municipalities for Agroecology, and María Carrascosa, technical secretary of the Network. Joaquim Bartolomé, deputy mayor of the Area of Environmental Action and Urban Services of El Prat de Llobregat and member of the RMAe Board of Directors, will also be present to present the municipal food strategy “El Prat Alimenta”.
Following the press briefing, the institutional inauguration of the meeting will take place. The program will continue for three days with debates and experiences on topics such as public food procurement, the right to healthy and sustainable food, rural development, school agroecology, and the incorporation of food policies into urban planning.
The call specifies that the event will take place on Thursday, November 5th, at 9:00 AM in the Auditorium of Cèntric Espai Cultural, located at Plaça de Catalunya, 39-41, in El Prat de Llobregat. The press briefing is scheduled for 9:15 AM.
