The annual fair brings together cooperation and solidarity organizations with residents in a space for participation and reflection on global realities. In an international context marked by armed conflicts, humanitarian crises, and the effects of climate change, the event offers an opportunity to learn about projects working for social justice and the defense of human rights, led by organizations and citizens of Cornellà de Llobregat.
The rise of hate speech and intolerance poses challenges to social cohesion, making awareness and education necessary to foster a fairer and more egalitarian society. The Fair also aims to highlight the local and international projects of various organizations in the city.
The event, taking place from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, will feature entertainment, giant wooden games by LUDIESPAI, a participatory mural by BMURALS, and clown performances by the Red Cross. Musical acts like La Furia de los Pájaros and Las Forasteritas, hosted by JOSELITO, will also be featured.
Participating organizations include the Carlos Fonseca Amador Popular Education Association, the Josep Comapuesta Foundation - Solidarity Unionists (UGT), the Peace and Solidarity Foundation (CCOO), Cornellà Solidari, and the Red Cross in Cornellà de Llobregat, among others.
On Sunday, October 4th, at 7:00 PM, the Sant Ildefons Auditorium will host the free performance of «Lo blanco del limón», a theatrical piece promoted by the Acció per la Pau Foundation that dialogues between young Palestinians and Catalans. The 60-minute play aims to foster mutual understanding and break down barriers through artistic creation.
As part of the educational initiative, the play will be performed on Monday, October 5th, for 3rd-year ESO students at the Institut Maria Aurèlia Capmany.
