The attack, identified as a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), involves saturating servers with artificial traffic. This malicious action prevents the correct and fluid editing of news, although it has not compromised system access or the security of the publishing company's internal data.
While news reading and social media access have not been affected, the cyberattack directly impacts the internal editing process. The blockages generated by the attack have significantly slowed down and made the teams' work more costly.
Despite the difficulties, the professionalism of technicians from IndianWebs in L'Hospitalet and CDMON has allowed for the daily publication of news to continue. The publishing company expressed gratitude for the treatment received at the Mossos d'Esquadra police station in L'Hospitalet when filing the complaint.
