During the sessions, strategies and resources were discussed to encourage conscious language use among coaches, athletes, and their families. The key role of coaches as linguistic role models, especially for children and young people, was highlighted to create spaces where Catalan is regularly present.
The workshop emphasized the importance of maintaining Catalan as the usual language of interaction in sports activities and creating favorable environments for its use. The value of language as a tool for social cohesion and equal opportunities was also reflected upon, facilitating active and equal participation in the municipality's social life.
Through this initiative, the Catalan Office of La Palma de Cervelló supports local entities in promoting Catalan as a language of cohesion and participation.
