More than 200 people participated in the inaugural edition of the Corredrac in Sant Andreu de la Barca, an initiative to celebrate the Dragon's 30th anniversary that has surpassed all expectations.

The 2026 Festa Major in Sant Andreu de la Barca successfully hosted the first edition of the Corredrac, an initiative by the Colla de Diables to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their iconic Dragon. The event, which sold out all available spots, gathered over 200 participants for a festive procession through the town's streets.
The celebration began at 8:30 PM in Plaça d’Anselm Clavé, with a brass band providing music for the parade. Attendees received commemorative glasses and scarves, enjoying a proposal that blends popular culture, music, and festivity, offering a different format for the Dragon beyond the traditional correfoc.

"We thought we were late and that perhaps this year it wouldn't work, but we were wrong."

Enrique González · President of the Colla de Diables
The president of the Colla de Diables, Enrique González, expressed his surprise at the initiative's success, which arose spontaneously. The participation of over 200 people confirms its positive reception and opens the door for the Corredrac to continue in future festivals.
This celebration also served as the official kickoff for the 30th anniversary of the Dragon, a key figure in the popular culture of Sant Andreu de la Barca. According to González, the beast has evolved from an independent section to a transversal figure within the group, with new carriers ensuring its continued presence on the streets.

"It's something I recommend trying at least once in your life, because it's very curious and very fun."
