Minyons de Terrassa have reaffirmed the positive feelings from the previous week's Modernist Fair with a notable performance in Sant Boi de Llobregat. The 'colla' from Terrassa managed to complete the two 8-story towers they attempted in the Town Hall square, a feat that, according to the group itself, demonstrates their technical advancement. They shared the stage with the Castellers de Cornellà, those from Sant Cugat, and Viladecans.
The 'castell' day began with the simultaneous execution of three 4-story pillars by the 'malves' (the team's nickname). Subsequently, they displayed "great solidity" by completing the 2 of 8 with 'folre' (a supporting structure), a tower they have mastered, and the 5 of 8, known as the "cathedral." To conclude the 'diada' (performance), they executed two simultaneous 5-story pillars.
Minyons' objective for their next event is to continue surpassing themselves. To this end, they have called for the first practice session of the season focused on the 'gamma extra' (top-tier difficulty) on Friday, May 22nd. "The goal of this special session is to open our doors to everyone and encourage maximum participation to face future great challenges," the 'colla' stated in a press release.
Minyons' next performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd, the Diada del Patrimoni. At this event, they aim to debut their 'gamma extra' towers, shortly after the traditional walking pillar that will cross the Pont de Sant Pere at 6 PM.
