Nearly 500 people filled the Casal de Cultura for a day dedicated to memory, culture, traditions, and local entities. The event, held on Sunday, September 27th, highlighted the municipality's identity and the role of its organizations in preserving its cultural heritage.
The celebration featured the participation of the local associative and cultural fabric, including the Gegants de Sant Climent (Sant Climent Giants), the Ball de Bastons (Stick Dance), the Ball de Cireraires (Cherry Gatherers' Dance), the Fomarians, the Coral La Vall choir, and the Giravolt group. The Castellers de Viladecans and the Coral Renaixença de Sant Boi choir also contributed.
During the event, speeches were given by the mayor of Sant Climent, Jordi Pérez Condeminas; the Councillor for Culture, Montse Fulquet; the Councillor for Culture of Sant Boi, José Manuel González; Jaume Vendrell, representing the September 11th Commission; and Aureli Bosch, from the Sant Joan Fire Commission.
“"Per Cireres Sant Climent"
One of the most moving moments was the performance of the sardana «Per Cireres Sant Climent», sung by a hundred singers from the La Vall and Renaixença choirs and danced by Sant Climent's sardanistes. The event concluded with a joint rendition of «Els Segadors» and «El Cant de la Senyera» by both choirs.
The City Council expresses its gratitude to all the entities, participants, singers, dancers, musicians, and volunteers who made this special day possible.
