The municipal council gave the green light on Wednesday to the proposal, which now opens a 30-day public exhibition period for citizens to submit suggestions and/or objections. In parallel, the necessary expropriation procedures for the required land will begin.
The project aims to improve the safety and accessibility of the road, connecting the Vallserrat and Ca n’Amat neighborhoods. It includes a new roadway, a separate pedestrian path with vegetation, renaturalization measures, and landscape enhancements.
The pedestrian route will feature rest areas with urban furniture and trees for shade and comfort, lighting, and two drinking fountains. The initial approval received unanimous support from all municipal groups.
