The Vallirana City Council and the Baix Llobregat County Council recently met to discuss the Home Care Service (SAD), a key service provided in the municipality through a joint management agreement.
The meeting served to analyze the incidents and difficulties detected in the service provision, as well as to propose improvements and future challenges. The goal is to ensure a quality, accessible SAD tailored to the individual needs of users.
The importance of SAD as an essential service to promote autonomy, well-being, and the ability for individuals to remain in their homes, ensuring the highest quality of life, was highlighted.
A central theme of the meeting was the need to focus care on the individual, listening to their needs, circumstances, and preferences.
The fundamental role of SAD professionals in direct care, accompaniment, and support for users and their families was also acknowledged.
The meeting jointly explored current difficulties and identified potential areas for improvement, emphasizing the importance of inter-administrative coordination and good communication between political and technical teams.
The meeting was attended by the president of the Baix Llobregat County Council and mayor of Vallirana, Eva Martínez; the manager of the County Council; the coordinator of the Social Action and Health Area; and the reference technician for the County Council's SAD. Representing the Vallirana City Council were the councilor for Social Services and Economic Promotion, David Ferrer; the head of Social Services; and the social worker and coordinator of the municipal SAD.
