The municipal gardening service is carrying out various planting and improvement actions in green spaces and landscaped areas of the municipality. The aim is to renew these areas and contribute to making Vallirana a greener and better-maintained town.
The actions, planned since January, have been scheduled after the summer to promote the survival and rooting of new plantings. Among the areas already addressed are la Llibra, the slope of Can Manyà (Fotoprix area), the tree pits on Pau Casals street, in front of the entrance and access to the swimming pool, and the planters located in front of the Town Hall. Yesterday, work focused on Avinguda Vall del Sol.
The plan also includes a study for an intervention in Parc Central. This area will feature a planting of plants and trees more resistant to drought and high temperatures, thus adapting the green spaces to current climatic conditions.
These actions coincide with efforts to control the wild boar population, which helps reduce the damage these animals can cause to new plantings.
It is reminded that caring for green spaces is a shared responsibility. With citizen collaboration, the new plantings can grow and contribute to making Vallirana a more pleasant and sustainable municipality.
